New PC Transfer Options
| If you buy a new computer through 1ComputerCare, I can often transfer the hard disk drive from the old computer to give a useful backup location. I usually delete the contents of the old disk and set up an automated Vista backup to the old drive where possible unless directed otherwise. Optionally, I am also happy to configure more than one Windows account and install software components that are on your old PC. Note that simply copying program files to a new PC will not enable the program to run as there are usually other components (DLL files, registry entries etc.) that comprise a working modern program. To help me understand what is required, please complete as much of this form as you can. |
