Broadband speed measurement

Permalink 04:43:31 am by Eugene Gardner, Categories: Security

It is often worth checking that the speed you receive Internet services at is close to what you are paying for and the ISP says the line speed is. A single measurement is insufficient to convince BT Wholesale / OpenReach that there is a problem so a graph like the following may help.

You can set the interval between measurements to, say, 30 minutes and show not just speeds but jitter and PING times too. This is a free download from http://www.gmwsoftware.co.uk/
