What do those router lights mean ?

Icons/symbiols are different for each manufacturer, but here is a common legend taken from a Technicolor TG582n

The last two are significant: Broadband tells us whether a signal is detected on the line a.k.a. synchronized; Internet tells us that the username/password have been accepted a.k.a. Authenticated.
